TEDTalks

TED Talks for Android is an app designed to answer a question and fill a need.

After watching a couple of Google Engineers give a TED talk on the possibility that Google itself was conscious, it seemed like a good idea to test that theory. Can a conscious Google, produce a usable marketable Android application?

Using the criteria described above, I went about asking it. Every function of this app started its life as a Google Search Query.

How did Google do? Not too bad, I was a little shocked at how little needed to be changed from Google's advice on every step. There are still some warts in there. Overlapping button here or there.  Missed WIFI detection occasionally. Overall though, after some debugging (informed with search queries, of course) and UI tweaks, I find the app elegant and useful and hope you will too.
